# What is SPACE ID?

SPACE ID is building a universal name service network which seamlessly connects people, information, assets, and applications across blockchains. It’s chain-agnostic, decentralized, censorship-resistant, and open-sourced. As blockchain bridges become more secure & simple, and as Inter‐Blockchain Communication protocols get adopted, we will head even more heavily into a cross-chain future. 

Right now when you get Arton as a Twitter name, but have to get Arton123 on Twitch. A name service on ETH means you get the same name on all ETH Dapps, but not necessarily on other blockchains, there’s another level to it. With SPACE ID, this will never be a problem as you will have a unique identity to all chains. Imagine if you can send crypto through any blockchain of your choice to a friend with a single identifier.

Our Universal Domain can solve all these issues. On SPACE ID your username, :arton, can be linked with his identity across multiple blockchains, so you can forget about all of those complex addresses and only need to ever interact with :Arton.

.bnb domain is our first phase of launching top-level-domain, build on BNB Chain.

# Why own a .bnb domain?

For a good adoption, you need good support. SPACE ID has already secured over sixty different partnerships across the top players of the BNB chain.

Most importantly, the Binance chain team itself is continuing to help introduce SPACE ID to all these different key protocols. Also let’s not forget Galxe, our premium partner in all this, has also introduced us to many of these projects so big thanks to them as well. Needless to say that having the support of the BNB Chain team itself to build a name service for their chain can only make this successful, as the opposite would have made the task almost impossible.

With SPACE ID being the first recognized .bnb domain name service, in conjunction with the fact that the adoption of a name service on Binance chain is inevitable, securing a domain name that speaks to yourself just makes sense, a no-brainer.

Maybe you would not care about having *<arton123@gmail.com>* for your email, and even then you probably prefer *<arton@gmail.com>*, but when a name represents your whole web3 identity: Games, NFTs, Metaverse, web3 social networks, use-to-earn, asset portfolios, then locking in a good name might be a different story. Maybe this time you’ll prefer owning arton.bnb and not arton123.bnb.

We also have to remember that the number of daily active addresses on BNB is more than 2-3-4x that of other chains, including Ethereum. Also when charting name registrations, it’s a line that can only go up, once minted, a domain name cannot just disappear.

As current users are finally convinced to jump on board because of the adoption of Dapps and wallets all around them, or when new users will be onboarded from scratch into web3, more and more domain names will be minted. And when more and more people join, the earlier you have a domain name, there will be more possibilities.


# What we can do with .bnb domain?

.bnb domain provides a secure and decentralized way to resolve simple human-readable domain names to on-chain address resources. At present, the .bnb domain name is the first domain name service launched by SPACE ID. It is a decentralized domain name service built on the BNB chain. .bnb looks similar to a web domain name: arton.bnb. Anyone can register one or more .bnbs with a BSC address. You can replace the BSC address (eg 0xd8da6dsgui64af9d7eed9e03e53415d3774920) with the simple name: arton.bnb.

We provide domain name resolution function. It is equivalent to completing the application on the integrated Dapp in this function. For example, .bnb domain name can be used as your BSC wallet address. By transferring money to the .bnb address, the function of transferring money to the corresponding address is completed. You can also use the .bnb domain name to make a website and create *arton.bnb.me*.


# How to register a .bnb domain?

# How to extend the .bnb domain expiration date?

You can expnd you .bnb Domain Name registration anytime during the registration period and within 90 days after it expires, which is 90-day grace period. During the grace period, the domain name will be reserved only for its previous registrant to expand its registration. After the grace period, the name will not be reserved and will be open to the public to register.

To expand the registration, click “Expand” to make the change.


# What is domain resolve?

Domain resolve is to resolve the domain name to the corresponding address by “editing record”.

In the application scenario, after setting the resolution, you can search the .bnb domain name in the DApp that supports .bnb to directly match the corresponding address; you can also directly enter the .bnb domain name in the wallet that supports SID to resolve the address to complete the transfer.

For example, after Arton completes domain resolve, you can transfer money to Arton by entering simple arton.bnb when transferring money.


# What is domain resolution/reverse resolve?

Domain resolution is to reversely resolve the address to the corresponding domain name by “setting primary domain”.

In the application scenario, after setting up reverse resolution, you can directly display the .bnb domain name you set in the DApp that supports .bnb domain name display.

For example, when you log in to the DApp with your wallet address, your .bnb domain name will be displayed instead of your lengthy address.


# How many .bnb domains can complete resolve and reserve resolve with one address?

One domain name corresponds to one address, and one address can correspond to multiple domain names. In other words, multiple .bnb domains can “edit records” with one same address, while only one .bnb domain can be “set primary name”.

# How to get a special domain skin?

Till now, we only released one special domain skin called “2022 Halloween skins”. The skins selection is limited and can only be got during event period-2022 Oct 28th 12 AM — Nov 2nd 12 AM ET.


# Can I change my Halloween skin back to the default one?

You cannot switch your Halloween skin to the default one right now, but you will have the option to switch back to the default .bnb Domain skin very soon!


# How to redeem gift card?

Step 1:

Go to <https://bnb.space.id/app> and connect to your wallet.

In your profile page, click “My Gift Card” on the top left corner under the SPACE ID Point to access to the “My Gift Card”. Click “Redeem”.

To redeem your Gift Card to SID Points, select the type and the numbers of Gift Cards by clicking ”<” or “>” and “+” or “-”. You will see the corresponding SID Points on the right.

Click the “Redeem” button to finish redeeming Gift Cards.

Step 2:

After the transaction is completed, you will be directed back to your profile page with “SID Points successfully redeemed” shown on the top right corner.

After redeeming, your gift card will be burnt and SID Points will be added. You can then use SID Points to register for new domains or extend the existing domains registration.

# How to register domain with SID points?

After redeeming SPACE ID Gift Cards for SID Points, you are ready to put those points into work!

During the domain registration process, there is a step that you can can select you registration period and see the corresponding estimated fees, and right now you will be able to select “SID Point” and use it to cover the registration fees.

By select “SID Point” button, you can view the updated estimated cost after using your SID Points.

> ⚠️ If your SID Points are enough to cover the total cost of registration, you will only need to pay the gas fee. If the SID Point cannot cover the total cost of the registration, you will need to pay the rest of registration fees and the gas fee.

# How to extend domain with SID points?

When extending the registration of your .bnb Domain, you now have the option to use SID Points to cover the cost of your registration extension.

In the “Extend Registration” pop up window, click “SID Point”, and you will be able to view the updated estimated payment cost.

# Just drop in the discord, what should I do first?

Glad to have you here, if you already own a .bnb domain, please change your discord username to you .bnb domain (like arton.bnb #1111), after that please go to #get the roles to verify your wallet address, the you will get a new role- ‘.bnb Domain Owner’.

解析： 把域名解析为对应的地址

应用场景，设置完解析以后，你可以在支持 .bnb 的 DApps 中，通过搜索.bnb域名直接匹配到对应的地址；你也可以在支持 SPACE ID 的钱包中，直接输入 .bnb 域名解析出地址完成转账

比如当 Arton 完成正向解析以后，即把他的arton.bnb 域名对应成他的 BSC 地址（例如0xd8da6dsgui64af9d7eed9e03e53415d3774920）那么你可以在转账时通过输入简单的 arton.bnb 向 Arton 的该地址转账。

步骤：

应用场景，设置完反向解析以后，你可以在支持 .bnb 域名显示的 DApps 中，直接展示你设置的 .bnb 域名。

比如当 Arton 完成反向解析以后，用他的 BSC 钱包地址（例如0xd8da6dsgui64af9d7eed9e03e53415d3774920）登录 DApps 后，他的 arton.bnb 会取代原本冗长的地址显示出来。

如果，你在设置反向解析的时候，发现列表中没有你的 .bnb 域名，请先将 .bnb 域名完成正向解析。

一个域名对应解析一个地址，一个地址只能设置一个反向解析的域名。多个 .bnb 域名可以用一个相同的地址“编辑记录”（正向解析），而只有一个 .bnb 域名可以“设置主名称”（反向解析）。

前往 <https://bnb.space.id/app> 并连接你的钱包。 在你的个人资料页面中，单击 SPACE ID 点下方左上角的“My Gift Card以访问“我的礼品卡”界面。

步骤2:

点击“Redeem”，就可以将你的礼品卡兑换成 SID 积分，你可以通过点击“<”或“>”选择兑换的礼品卡种类，在通过选择“+”或“-”选择礼品卡数量。你可以在右侧看到相应的 SID 积分数值。 点击“Redeem”按钮，即可完成礼品卡兑换。

交易完成后，你将回到你的个人资料页面，并且右上角会显示“SID Points successfully redeemed”。 兑换成功后，你的礼品卡将被烧毁并兑换成 SID 积分显示在你的页面。

# 如何使用 SID 积分注册域名？

用 SPACE ID 礼品卡兑换 SID 积分后，你就可以开始使用这些积分了！

步骤1：

在域名注册过程中，你可以选择注册期限并查看相应的估计费用，现在你可以选择“SID Point”并使用它来支付注册费用。

通过选择“SID Point”按钮，你可以查看使用SID 积分后更新的预估费用。&#x20;

如果你的 SID 积分足以支付注册的总费用，那么你只需支付 gas 费；\
如果你的 SID 积分无法支付注册的总费用，那么你将需要支付剩余的注册费和 gas 费。

# 如何使用 SID 积分续费？

在给 .bnb 域名续费时，你现在可以选择使用 SID 积分来支付续费的费用。&#x20;

步骤1：

在“Extend Registration”弹出窗口中，点击“SID Point”，即可查看使用SID 积分后更新的预估支付费用。

# 刚刚加入discord，我应该先做什么？

欢迎加入，如果你已经拥有一个 .bnb 域名，请先将你的 discord 用户名更改为你的 .bnb 域名（如arton.bnb #1111），之后请去 #get-role 验证你的钱包地址，就可以获得一个新角色：domain owner
